What is Your Lifestyle Vision for MidLife?
I have no idea where this house is or what the rest of it even looks like. All I know, and all I need to know, is that it's on a beach.
This picture has been sitting on my hard drive for the last 2 years. It's a huge part of my own version of a vision board.
My friend, Andrea, posed a question a week or so ago. "What is your dream home?"
Here's mine. Look at all those windows and that view!
I envision sitting on that porch with a cup of tea watching the sun rise and taking a walk on that beach or going for a run.
I envision no neighbors for 1/4 mile on either side and I can either walk or ride my bike into town for groceries and socialization.
I envision being within a short or few hours drive from family so that I don't have to get on a plane and travel halfway across the country just to see them. So that I'm not known only as the FaceTime grandma.
Does a place like this exist? I don't know, but I'm certainly going to find out.
I live near the Rocky Mountains and while my views here of Pike's Peak are absolutely stunning, for me, I'm an ocean gal and always will be. Growing up on Long Island, some of my best memories are of summers at the beach with great friends and family.
The beach is my serenity, my happy place. I know I've talked about that a lot before. There's nothing like standing at the edge of the sand with eyes closed listening to the ocean come up on the shore.
I've thought about this a lot, as you can probably tell.
Do You Have a Vision for MidLife because Nothing Becomes Dynamic Until it Becomes Specific
So, I leave you with this thought. What is the vision of your life for you, defined ONLY by you? What are you working toward that is your total happy space where you envision spending days, weeks, months and years?
One that is financially secure and where your legacy is protected?
If you're not sure what that is, we can talk about that as well as the financial plan to get you there and the protection plan for your legacy.
