About Me: Whom I Am, What I Do and Why I Do It
Hi! I'm Patty Bonsera, Certified Financial Educator (CFEI), Financial Wellness Advisor and Coach. I am honored you're here and taking the time to explore if we might be a good fit to work together.
If you are a woman reinventing midlife and are either an aspiring or established entrepreneur, welcome to your new home to gain financial clarify, simplicity and security for you and your business.
What is a Financial Wellness Advisor?
That's a great question!
It's like having a life coach and financial planner rolled into one, walking you through each step of the planning process, with encouragement and support, in a heart-centered, judgment-free space.
I do not sell insurance or investment products for commissions, nor do I manage assets, so you have me as an unbiased, advice-based guide. I pick up, where mainstream financial services leaves off.
I bring together the emotions and mechanics of money to show you how to build your most inspired life, one smart financial decision at a time personally and professionally in your biz. I coach you, teach you and celebrate with you every step of the way. I am here to reach 1 million women just like you.
Here's Why I Do What I Do
I do what I do so that you are empowered to have clarity, simplicity and peace of mind knowing you will never have to depend on family, friends or the government for your financial security.
Midlife Women are Virtually Ignored by the Financial Services Industry
The few advisors serving midlife women? It's the same old masculine mechanics of money.
Men and women think differently about money and it's hard to trust advisors because:
1. They don't talk to us the way we need them to.
2. They mostly sell products for commission.
How do I know? Because I am a midlife woman and I've been in the financial services industry since the 1980's.
That's why I do things differently.
I've Been Through My Own Financial "Stuff", Too.
I've been married, divorced, spent 11 years as a single mom and later remarried. I've experience income inequality, worked for a firm that was later indicted in securities fraud (unbeknownst to employees), gave my financial power away to my spouse, (eventually took it back), lost pretty much everything after 2008 (while hiding all the shame from family) and rebuilt my life.
Over time, after confiding in close girlfriends, I discovered I wasn't alone and came to this overwhelming feeling that I needed to do something about it. That's when my own midlife reinvention started and I came over to personal finance and how Fear.less Girl Financial was born.
This industry needs a makeover and midlife women will not be ignored.
Why the transparency? It's important that you know I've been there, too.
